
Trauma, Stress & Nervous System Support
Trauma is not defined by what happened, but by what the nervous system had to do to survive it. Whether your trauma was acute, chronic, subtle, relational or unspoken, its effects can show up as stress, overwhelm, shutdown, hyper-vigilance, avoidance, perfectionism, emotional numbness, physical symptoms or cycles of self-protection. Nervous system work allows us to meet these patterns with understanding and help your system return to safety, stability and flow.
Together, we explore how your system responds to pressure - fight, flight, freeze or fawn - and how these states link to childhood experiences, relational wounds, boundaries, self-worth or previous overwhelm. Trauma is held in the body, so we work gently with your somatic cues: breath, posture, tension, energy, internal sensations and emotional waves. This allows healing to emerge in a way that does not re-traumatise or overwhelm you.
I use trauma-informed frameworks, Transactional Analysis, inner parts work, shadow work, CBT, NLP, mindfulness, intuitive tuning-in, and nervous-system-centred genetic insights and natural remedies to support this process. Functional medicine insights can help address underlying contributors such as cortisol disregulation, inflammation or sleep dysregulation, while plant spirit medicine supports emotional release and reconnection.
Over time, you learn to recognise your triggers, regulate your responses, soften your defences, and meet your emotions with compassion rather than fear. Trauma work is delicate, profound and deeply empowering. It restores your sense of aliveness, agency and connection with yourself. I will hold you safely through every step of this unfurling.
